Act 42 (effective July 2025) raised exemption threshold from $10,000 to $30,000 and consolidated cottage food and home bakery categories. Under $30K: free online training and annual registration required (by January 15), no license or inspection. Over $30K: $100 Home Bakery license and kitchen inspection required but no revenue cap. Unusually broad sales channels allowed including retail stores, wholesale, and mail order.
