- What is a food drop?
- A drop is a limited pre-order window. You post what you're making, customers order by a cutoff, you make everything in one batch, they pick up at a set time.
- How do I avoid overselling?
- Calculate your actual capacity (this tool does that), then set a hard order limit on your post. OrderPost enforces this automatically so you never take more orders than you can fill.
- How many items should I offer per drop?
- Start with 2–4 items. More items means more complexity. Fewer items = faster prep, fewer mistakes, better quality.
- Should I set a cutoff time?
- Yes. Give yourself at least 24–48 hours between cutoff and pickup to prep. Post your drop 3–5 days before pickup.
