Notes
No permit or inspection required, but must complete DOH-approved or ANSI-accredited food safety training (renewed every 3 years). HB 2144 (2024) expanded the law to allow acidified/fermented foods, indirect sales, online sales, and in-state shipping (rules adopted August 2025). In-state shipping permitted. Commercial kitchen use prohibited. Hand washing sink required during food prep. Department may inspect kitchens regularly. Catering is prohibited.
