Three ways to sell

OrderPost supports three order modes, each designed for a different selling style. You can use one or mix them depending on what you sell.

Pre-order mode

Best for: weekly drops, seasonal items, limited batches.

You post what is available, set a deadline, and collect all orders before you start making. This is ideal if you want to know exactly how much to bake before you turn on the oven.

Made-to-order mode

Best for: custom cakes, decorated cookies, specialty items.

Customers describe what they want, and you confirm pricing and timeline. This mode works well when every order is unique and needs a conversation before you commit.

Best for: regular sellers with a set product list.

You keep a standing menu of items that are always available. Customers order what they want, and you fulfill on your schedule. Great for meal prep, weekly bread, or recurring pop-ups.

Switching between modes

You can change modes anytime in your OrderPost settings. Some sellers use pre-order for weekend drops and menu mode for their regular lineup. Find what fits your workflow and adjust as you grow.
